Frequently asked questions
What counts as a "session"?
One session equals one authenticated media-playback context for one user-device pair. Multi-device playback by the same user counts as multiple sessions. Reconnects within 5 minutes are billed as a continuation.
Can I migrate from self-hosted?
Yes. Our migration tooling can import session-state from Redis, etcd, or DynamoDB. Most teams complete migration in under 4 hours with zero downtime. Pro and Enterprise plans include white-glove migration assistance.
Where is data stored?
EU customers default to Frankfurt, Stockholm, or Dublin (your choice). US customers default to us-east-1 (Virginia) with us-west-2 failover. Enterprise customers can request custom data-residency configurations.
